Lochards celebrate golden date

PORT JEFFERSON — Patricia and Thomas E. Lochard, of Port Jefferson, celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today, July 5, 2017.

Thomas and the former Patricia D. Bailey were married July 5, 1967, in the First Methodist Church in Wapakoneta. The Rev. Paul Steele performed the ceremony. Witnesses were maid of honor Louise Tearmenn and best man Steve McCullough.

Thomas is the son of Janelle and Paul Lochard, of Wapakoneta. He has two brothers, Tony Lochard, of Spenserville, and Ray Lochard, of Wapakoneta, and two living sisters, Marian Kreger, of Sylvania, and Cindy Klosterman, of Wapakoneta. Another sister, Debbie Lochard, is deceased.

Patricia is the daughter of the late Ruth Miller and the late Lawrence Bailey. She has three sisters, Helen Clark, of Lima, Shelby Burden, of Cridersville, and Eloise Ruppert, of St. Marys, and three brothers, Joe Bailey, of Elkhart, Indiana, Steve Bailey, of South Fulton, Tennessee, and Stan Bailey, of Missouri.

The Lochards are the parents of two daughters, Michele Howard, of Houston, and Jill Lochard, of Anna, and two sons, Jeff Lochard, of Sidney, and Brad Lochard, of Russia. They have 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Thomas retired in 2014 as a delivery driver for Dickman’s Supply. Patricia retired in 2014 as a housekeeper for Elmwood Assisted Living.
