SIDNEY — Megan and Doug Knapke, of Sidney, have announced the birth of a son, Henry Thomas Knapke, born July 11, 2015, at 11:41 a.m., at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.

He weighed 8 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 21 1/2 inches long.

His maternal grandparents are Dorothy and Tom Gariety, of Russia. His paternal grandparents are Lois and Steve Knapke, of Yorkshire.

His great-grandmother is Esther Gariety, of Russia.

His mother is the former Megan Gariety, of Russia.
