SIDNEY — Kristen Gates and Cody Adkins, both of Sidney, have announced their engagement and plans to marry Sept. 12, 2015, at 2:30 p.m., in the Sidney First United Methodist Church.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Karen and Brian Gates, of Russia. She graduated from Houston High School in 2010 and earned an Associate of Science from Edison Community College. She is employed by Primary Eyecare as a technician.

Her fiance is the son of Kathy and Wayne Adkins, of Houston. He is a 2008 graduate of Houston High School and graduated from Edison Community College with an Associate of Business Management. He is employed by Numerics Unlimited as general manager.
