FORT LORAMIE — The Lake Loramie Heritage Museum will host Historic Pontoon Boat Rides of Lake Loramie from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15. The event will take place at Earl’s Island Pavilion, State Route 362, in Lake Loramie State Park.

Children must be accompanied by an adult. The pontoon boats are not handicap accessible and people must be able to either step up or down to access the boats from the dock depending upon the water level. The rides will take approximately 45 minutes and will feature the original purpose of the lake, how it was formed and the various landings around the lake.

The Lake Loramie Heritage Museum, State Route 362 across from the swimming beach, will be open from 1-4 p.m. and is free and open to the public as well. Stop in and see photos of nesting Eagles and their offspring, as well as some of the more unusual birds and wildlife observed at Lake Loramie.
