Hardin-Houston approves routine measures

HOUSTON — The Hardin-Houston Board of Education approved routine items during its July 17 meeting.

The board approved participation with the Southwestern Ohio Educational Purchasing Council’s bus purchase program and approved the program services and service agreements with the Midwest Regional Educational Service Center.

Lunch prices for next year were also approved, and will be:

• Grades kindergarten through 6: $2

• Grades 7 through 12: $2.15

• Breakfast: $1.25

• Reduced: 40 cents

• Staff: $2.50

Amy Hughes was hired as part-time cook and custodian, along with event cleanup and lawn care; Misty Gibson was hired as interim elementary principal’s secretary; and Donna Long and Molly McKee were hired as elementary summer school teachers.

The next board meeting will be Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the media center.
