NEW BREMEN — The New Bremen Parks Department has announced that its annual fishing derby, “Hooked on Fishing,” will be in a new place this year.

The July 27 event will be in the Kuenning-Dicke Natural Area, 4300 Lock Two Road. It is open to children 3 to 15. Registration begins at 6 p.m. The starting time will be 7 p.m. and the derby will end at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Prizes will be awarded in three age groups: 3-6, 7-10, and 11-15. There will be prizes in each group for the most fish caught and for the largest fish caught. In addition, there will be grand prizes for the largest fish caught overall and for the person who catches the most fish.

There is no charge to participate.
