BOTKINS — The Botkins Historical Society will host an ice cream social, Aug. 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the historic Shelby House Hotel, 403 W. State St., Botkins.

The home of the society has recently been resided. The museum will be open to the public during the social. A bounce house will be open for children. There is no admission charge.

Attendees will have an opportunity to purchase or renew memberships in the society.
