MCD offers online trail report

DAYTON — With all of the rain this summer, it is hard to know if the bike trails are currently dry. This information is now available on the Miami Conservancy District’s website.

MCD has created a “trail conditions” page for trail sections it maintains on the Great Miami and Mad rivers.

“We provide an up-to-date hydrograph showing the river level, and we provide the river level, or stage, of when a trail section goes under water,” says Janet Bly, MCD general manager. “Compare the two numbers and you’ll know if the trail is under water at that location.”

Several locations in downtown Dayton as well as West Carrollton, Miamisburg and Franklin are included on the new page at www.mcdwater.org/trail-conditions.
