Anna Elementary School recently held a gun and fire safety day for their students. Participating in the event were Anna Police Chief Tim Bender, Captain Nick Bender, firefighters Brad Boyd, Bryan Doak and Kevin Hammergren. Shelby County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Lynn Marsee taught gun safety.

Anna Fire Department taught about fire safety with an emphasis on holiday safety including candles. Christmas lights, heaters, stay low and go, 911, knowing two ways out, meeting place, and the students all practiced on an obstacle course of exiting low.
