St. Michael’s to host blood drive

FORT LORAMIE — St. Michael’s Hall, 33 Elm St., Fort Loramie, will join with the Community Blood Center to host a community blood drive Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at 33 Elm St.

The knit “Blood Donor” winter beanie will be given to everyone who registers to donate. To schedule an appointment, visit www.DonorTime.com or call 800-388-GIVE.

The St. Michaels’s Hall blood drive is sponsored by the Fort Loramie Community Service Club, the Fort Loramie American Legion Auxiliary, and the Fort Loramie Knights of St. John.

St. Michael’s Hall hosts three blood drives annually and they are traditionally the largest blood drives in Shelby County. In 2017, St. Michael’s Hall blood drives totaled 800 whole blood donations and 34 platelet and plasma donations, earning the CBC Platinum LifeSaving Ambassadors Club Award for the highest achievement in blood drive excellence.
