DALLAS, Texas — Natalie Ann Meyer and Carlos Alberto de la Garza, both of Dallas, Texas, were united in marriage, June 17, 2017, at 1:30 p.m., in the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster.

The bride is the daughter of Ann E. and Kennel L. Meyer, of Minster. Her grandparents are the late Frederick J. and Martha M. Boecker, and Eileen and Urban Meyer, of Minster.

The bridegroom is the son of Socorro de la Garza and Ernesto de la Garza, both of McAllen, Texas. His grandparents are the late Dora and Lauro H. Salinas and the late Paula and Jose de la Garza.

The Rev. Rick Nieberding performed the ceremony. Rick and Pam Schmitmeyer, Chip and Amy Noykos and Dave Christiansen provided music.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an Essence of Australia lace dress with halter neckline with sheer lace detailing, a lace back and a fit-and-flare skirt. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas, Sahara roses, pink peonies, whitespray roses and white ranunculus with an accent of bay leaf, eucalyptus and Queen Ann’s lace wrapped in an ivory-colored satin ribbon.

Tara Montgomery served as her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Stephanie Guerrieri, Lisa Baker, Erin Fedders, Annie Schmidt, Ashley Leidolf and Kelley Hall. Brooke Montgomery, niece of the bride, Olivia de la Garza, Talia de la Garza and Sofia de la Garza, all nieces of the bridegroom, were flower girls.

The attendants wore Badgley Mischka gold-colored, cap-sleeved, sequined gowns with cowl backs. They carried bouquets that were smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet and featured ivory-colored streamers.

Mario de la Garza and Ramiro de la Garza, both brothers of the bridegroom, were his best men. Groomsmen were Andrew Meyer, brother of the bride, John Barlow, nephew of the bridegroom, Joel Garza and Roel Ortiz, cousins of the bridegroom, Matthew Khirallah and William Stewart. Blake Montgomery and Brayden Montgomery, nephews of the bride, and Nicolas de la Garza, nephew of the bridegroom, were the ring bearers.

Santiago Napoles and Isabella Napoles were program attendants. Giovan Garza and Armando Garza attended the guest book.

The mother of the bride wore a Mercury dress featuring a jeweled neck, cap sleeves, glittering sequins and beads and flaring, godet panels.

The mother of the bridegroom wore a pant suit featuring a lace jacket with 3/4-length sleeves and a matching lace shell with a square neckline and solid chiffon straps.

Both mothers wore wrist corsages of white ranunculus.

A reception at the Fort Piqua Plaza Banquet Center in Piqua, with music by Powerhouse Boogie Band, followed the ceremony.

The couple honeymooned in Rome, Capri and the Greek islands of Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes and Athens.

They reside in Dallas.

The bride graduated from Minster High School and Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in interior design and marketing. She is employed by Jonathan Louis Furniture in Dallas as a sales representative.

The bridegroom is a Rio Grande City (Texas) High School graduate and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in English from the University of Dallas. He is employed by Uplift Education in Dallas as an operations director.
