SIDNEY — POWER, the Shelby County United Way’s women’s initiative group, has announced that spaces are available to rent for its second annual Junk in the Trunk.

This event allows anyone the opportunity to rent a space and sell items. Sellers keep the profits from their sales.

Junk In the Trunk will be Sept. 23, rain or shine, at the Custenborder Field parking lot, 449 Riverside Drive. The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; set-up begins at 8 a.m. There will be arts and crafts as well as food vendors. Anyone can purchase one 17-foot by 17-foot space in advance for $25 to sell goods from the trunks of their car. Spaces on the day of the event rent for $35 each.

Unwanted, un-sold items can be donated to Goodwill, which will have a truck on site. Goodwill will not take mattresses or TVs, and small items must be boxed or bagged for easy loading. The truck will arrive at 2 p.m.
