JC golfers top Pirates
Jackson Center edged Riverside 177-181 in high school boys golf at Shelby Oaks Thursday.

Dillon Huffer had a 41 to lead JC, Dan Aikin had a 44, Aaron Klopfenstein 45 and Kevin Mcgowan and Dustin Ware 47.

Riverside was led by Brendon Whitsett with a 40.

• Anna beat Botkins 157-180 at the Oaks in County play Thursday.

Anna's Luke Kindelin shot a 36 for medalist honors, Trey Billing and Andrew Etzler shot 40s, and Brandyn Heitman had a 41.

For the Trojans, Eric Ambos shot a 42, Graham Counts 44, Adam Bornhorst 45 and Jacob VanGundy 49.






• Russia also won in County play, beating Fort Loramie 161-168 at Arrowhead Thursday.

For Russia, Corey Bremigan was medalist with a 37, Ryan Bremigan and Joe Monnin shot 41s, and Mitchell Bensman 42.

For Loramie, Ryan Grant and Frank Boerger both shot 40, Chad Hoehne 43 and Jacob Bowles 45.

• In the third County match of the night, at the Oaks, Houston beat Fairlawn 178-180.

Zach Kiehl of Houston was medalist with a 37, Travis Oberlander had a 40 and Kent Replogle 48.

Fairlawn was led by Anthony Gillem with a 42 and Trey Everett and Dustin Oates added 44s.

• Minster found Arrowhead to its liking with a 142 Thursday to beat Delphos St. John's with 177.

Adam Sherman had a 33 for medalist honors, Craig Purpus 35, Ben Hogenkamp 36 and Austin Fischer 38.
