About Area Cares

In 2015, Area Energy & Electric, Inc. started the Area Cares program. The mission of the program is to develop a sense of community in the territories Area Energy & Electric serve by engaging their employees in activities that positively benefit the local citizens. “Knowing local children and families have benefited from this program inspires us to keep pressing forward in our mission.” Says Jon Ranly, Business Development Manager, Area Energy & Electric Inc.

The first activity performed was to deliver Area Cares teddy bears to Wilson Health at Christmas. These bears were distributed to the children who were in pediatric units or had reason to visit the emergency room over the holiday period.
