Houston Community Association looking for trustees

HOUSTON — The Houston Community Association met recently to discuss openings of trustee positions.

Brenda Langston handed in her resignation as trustee. She will leave April 1. Gene Greve agreed to hold a trustee position for one-year. The association is in need of a trustee to complete Brenda’s three-year term plus one other trustee to serve a three-year term. Anyone is interested may call Jason Curl or come to the next monthly meeting, April 6, at 7 p.m.

Also at the meeting, trustees discussed the plans for the upcoming Annual Beef or Chicken and Homemade Noodle dinner to be held Sunday, March 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donated desserts and beverages will be available as well. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Houston High School Senior that plans on pursuing a college career are encouraged to apply for the scholarship (s) the association has available. Please visit their website http://www.houstonca.org/ to obtain the application. One of the requirements is you must have worked the required number of volunteer hours for the association. If you are having trouble printing the application please call Phil Cozad.

Marcella Colby will remain the rental agent for the Association for 2016. Dustin Meyer will continue to do snow removal and lawn maintenance for 2016. They are in need of a janitor. If you are interested please plan to attend the April meeting with your bid for the job.

The next meeting will be April 6 at 7 p.m.
