SCARF marks three years


SIDNEY — The Shelby County Animal Rescue Foundation (SCARF) celebrates its third anniversary as an organization this week by providing a coupon for free microchipping to any approved applicant who adopts a pet from the the Shelby County Animal Shelter through July 11.

Adoptions are available every day, but a special adoption event will be hosted by SCARF at the shelter, 1100 Clem Road, Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. SCARF will offer free treats to humans and canines that day.

In addition, members will collect cans for their ongoing Cans for Canines drive. For information, visit www.helpshelbycountyanimals.org.
