Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Council will meet on Monday, March 28, at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers. There will be a proclamation for Autism Awareness Day, April 2.

The council will consider the adoption of an ordinance assessing the cost of weed cutting or removal of litter or junk. This ordinance, if adopted by Council, would assess certain property owners the cost of weed mowing, or junk removal. There will be several introductions of ordinances, including one to provide the naming of the diamond at Custenborder Field, one amending the council rules, and one vacating a portion of Fourth Avenue right-of-way. The council will then consider two resolutions. One confirming the admission fees to the city municipal pool, and one declaring it necessary to improve streets, etc., in the city by lighting the same with electricity.

A discussion will then be had on regulating placement of garbage cans, and an executive session will be held for the purpose of considering the purchase of property for public purposes and pending or imminent court action.

Jackson Center Village Council

JACKSON CENTER — The Jackson Center Village Council will meet Monday, March 28, at 7 p.m. in council chambers.

They will approve the financial report from February 2016, and hear reports from village officials and committees. They will consider a resolution authorizing the village administrator to enter into a contract for professional services with Choice One Engineering for assisting with plans, specifications and engineering during the West Pike Street (state Route 274) and Airstream Drive improvements (Project Bambi).

They will also enter executive session for the purpose of discussing the purchase or selling of real estate.
