I-75 work continues

SIDNEY — The orange barrels on Interstate 75 are a normal sight for motorists. The Ohio Department of Transportation, District 7, is continuing work on the interstate and other highways in the surrounding counties.

Work in Shelby County includes:

• Ohio 29 between Cisco Road and Russell Road,24-hour bridge closure through July 20. The official detour is: Ohio 47 to Ohio 66 to Ohio 705

• I-75/Ohio 29 Interchange, 24-hour ramp closure through July 20. All exit and entrance ramps at the I-75/Ohio 29 interchange will be closed. Detours will be posted.

• Ohio 65 between Botkins Road and Southland Road, 24-hour lane closure through Aug. 28. One lane will remain open with traffic able to travel in each direction through the use of a signal.

• I-75 north and south between County Road 25A (Piqua) and County Road 25A (Sidney), nightly lane closures through Nov. 15 between the hours of 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. (Monday to Thursday) and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. (Friday to Sunday). One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

Work in Auglaize County includes:

• Ohio 197 between Kossuth Loop Road and Williams Road, 24-hour road closure through July 10. The official detour is Ohio 66 to Ohio 117 to Ohio 198.

• Ohio 219 between East Shelby Road and Ohio 29,24-hour road closure through Sept. 30. The official detour is Ohio 29 to Ohio 274 to Ohio 66

Work in Darke County includes:

• Ohio 503 between Ohio 722 and Darke-Preble County Line Road, 24-hour road closure through July 31. The official detour is Ohio 722 to U.S. 127 to U.S. 40

Work in Logan County includes:

• Ohio 366 between Ohio 368 and County Road 38, 24-hour road closure through July 10. The official detour will be: Ohio 708 to U.S. 33 to Ohio 274 to Ohio 117.

Work in Miami County includes:

• Eldean Road between County Road 25A (Troy) and Lytle Road24-hour road closure through Nov. 2. The official detour will be posted.

• I-75 north and south between Fair Road and U.S. 36, Nightly lane closures through July 24 between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

• Ohio 41 between Ohio 201 and Hufford Road, 24-hour road closure through Sept. 5. The official detour is: Westbound, Ohio 201 to Ohio 55 to Ohio 202 to Ohio 41. Eastbound- Ohio 202 to Ohio 55 to Ohio 201 to Ohio 41.

• County Road 25A (Piqua) between Looney Road and Indian Ridge Drive, 24-hour road closure through Oct. 15. The official detour is: Looney Road to U.S. 36 to Troy/Sidney Road to County Road 25A.

• County Road 33 (Eldean) between County Road 25A (Troy) and Piqua Troy Road, 24-hour road closure through Nov. 4. The official detour is County Road 25A to West Peterson Road to Piqua Troy Road.

• I-75 south Ramp to CR 25A near Troy, 24-hour ramp closure through Sept. 4. The official detour is: I-75 south to Ohio 41 to I-75 north to County Road 25A.

• Miami Shelby Road between Miami River Road and River Road, 24-hour bridge closure through July 31st. The official detour is: Miami River Road to Lockington Road to River Road.

Upcoming closures include:

• Auglaize — Ohio 197 between Moulton Fort Amanda Road and Conant Road, 24-hour road closure July 13–17. The official detour is Ohio 66 to Ohio 117 to Ohio 198

• Shelby — I-75/Ohio 29 Interchange, 24-hour ramp restrictions July 20 through Sept. 30. All ramps at this interchange will be restricted to 10’ lanes.

ODOT closures focus on interstate, U.S. and state routes. For information on local roads drivers will need to contact the county, city or township where the road is located. Arrow boards and signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming closure. All work is weather permitting. Safety is a top priority at ODOT. To help ensure the safety of the construction workers as well as the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through the work zone.
