Seniors learn of utility scams

SIDNEY — Members of the Senior Center of Sidney-Shelby County met during a potluck lunch at the center, April 12.

The lunch entree was provided by Dorothy Love Retirement Community.

Trustee candidates were introduced. Members will vote May 10 to select three new trustees for three-year terms from among Ray Arnold, Barbara Cole, Nancy Deam, Georgina Dressman, Dean Morrow and Carolyn Warner.

It was announced that Cargill had paid for Aqua Aerobics to be at the Sidney pool.

Amy Carles, of the Office of the Ohio Consumers Council Utility, gave a talk about utility scams. The Lehman Limelighters show choir provided entertainment.

vivian McDermitt, Doris LeVan and Ann Morrow were recognized for April birthdays. Harry Long was awarded an attendance prize. Pat Kinninger received the Milestone Award.
