WAYNESFIELD — The Auglaize County Historical Society and Heritage Trails Park District will present Taking the Lay of the Land: Early Surveys of Auglaize County by Dan Bennett, C.E., P.E./P.S., on Thursday, June 2, at 7 p.m. at the White Memorial Library, East Wapakoneta Street, Waynesfield . The event is free and open to the public.

Retired after 41 years as Auglaize County Bridge Engineer, Dan Bennett is one of only 890 Professional Engineers/Professional Surveyors in Ohio. He will discuss how the land of the county was mapped and measured, and why the roads and communities look the way they do today.
