SIDNEY — Memorial Day signals the beginning for summer holiday trips. For the Ohio Department of Transportation District 7, the day means construction projects are still continuing throughout the area.
The following closures are currently in effect for the week of May 30 to June 5:
Auglaize County
• State Route 66 between St. Marys-Kossuth Road and County Road 66A, Lane closures through July 1. Traffic will be maintained in each direction through the use of a shoulder closure.
• District Wide- Shoulder Closures on Interstate 75 in Mercer, Shelby and Auglaize Counties, Auglaize US 33, Mercer state Route 29, and Darke US 127. Various shoulder closures through July 15tbetween the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Lanes will remain open, but the shoulders will be closed.
• I-75 between US 33 and Bellefontaine Street, Nightly lane closures through June 18 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. Two lanes will remain open.
• I-75 between US 33 and Bellefontaine Street, 24 hour lane width restriction through June 18. Lanes will be restricted to 11 feet with a 1 foot shoulder.
• US 33 east near Blackhoof Street, 24 hour lane closure through June 17. One eastbound lane will remain open.
• I-75 between state Route 274 and National Road, Daily lane closures through July 29th between the hours of 3 a.m. and 3 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.
• State Route 66 between South Park Drive and Quellhorst Road, 24-hour bridge closure through June 10. The official detour is state Route 219 to state Route 29 to state Route 116 to state Route 197 to state Route 66.
Darke County
• State Route 47 between Beisner Road and Coppess Road, 24-hour bridge closure through June 15. The official detour is state Route 118 to state Route 705 to US 127.
• State Route 47 between state Route 118 and Tiger Way in Ansonia, 24-hour road closure through Aug. 31. The official detour is state Route 118 to state Route 705 to US 127.
• State Route 121 between Jamison Road and Conover Road, Daily lane closures through May 30 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.
• District Wide- Micro surfacing project on Champaign State Route 814, Champaign state Route 560, Champaign state Route 235, Clark state Route 235, Miami state Route 48, Darke state Route 118 and Darke state Route 121. Various lane closures through July 30 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction through the use of flaggers.
Miami County
• I-75 at County Road 25A (Troy), 24-hour lane width restrictions through Oct. 31. Northbound lanes will be restricted to 13 feet. Southbound lanes will be restricted to 12 feet. Two lanes will remain open in each direction with one northbound lane shifted to the southbound side and one northbound lane operating on the northbound side. Two southbound lanes will also be open on the southbound side.
• I-75 south Ramp to County Road 25A near Troy, 24-hour ramp closure through Oct. 28. The official detour is I-75 south to state Route 41 to I-75 north to County Road 25A.
Shelby County
• District Wide- shoulder closures on I-75 in Mercer, Shelby and Auglaize Counties, Auglaize US 33, Mercer state Route 29, and Darke US 127. Various shoulder closures through July 15 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Lanes will remain open, but the shoulders will be closed.
• I-75 north and south between Vandemark Road and County Road 25A (Sidney), Nightly lane closures through July 4 between the hours of 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.
• State Route 47 between I-75 and Vandemark Road, Daily lane closures through July 31 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. One lane will remain open in each direction.
• Sharp Road between County Raod 25A and Thompson Schiff Road, 24-hour bridge closure through June 18. The official detour is Sidney-Freyburg Road to Fort Loramie-Swanders Road to County Road 25A.
• Michigan Street between Pomeroy Avenue and Oak Avenue, 24-hour bridge closure through Aug. 5. The official detour is Michigan Street to Highland Avenue to Oak Avenue.
• State Route 29 between Wells Road and McCartyville Road, 24-hour shoulder closure through July 29. Lanes will be restricted to 12 feet with shoulders closed. One lane will remain open in each direction.

• Logan – US 68 between East Township Route 219 and West Township Route 219, 24-hour road closure June 10-24. The official detour is US 68 to state Route 273.
