Choir entertains Rotarians

SIDNEY — Members of the Sidney Rotary Club were entertained by a concert by the Sidney First United Methodist Church Men’s Choir during their regular meeting June 27.

The choir performed “Rise Up People of God,” “As the Deer,” “Blades of Grass,” “Service Medley” and “God Bless America.”

During the business meeting:

• The following officers were installed: Aliana Mabelitini, president; Duane Gaier, president-elect; John Bertch, vice president; Josh Buehler, secretary; James Lehmkuhl, treasurer.

• Dan Freytag was recognized for 25 years of service as club secretary and Jane Gariety, for 15 years of service as club treasurer.

• New members were welcomed.

• District Gov. Bill Shula named Glen Phillips and Lisa Benanzer as Paul Harris Fellows.

• Shula presented the club with the Presidential Citation, an award won by just eight clubs in the local district.

• Rick Lunsford was announced as the winner of the Country Concert ticket raffle.
