R. Michael Johnson, director of admissions, social services and marketing for The Pavilion Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in Sidney, throws out the ceremonial first pitch at the Friday, July 29, Dayton Dragons game. Johnson was chosen to represent both The Pavilion and the Alzheimer’s Association of the Miami Valley during a special night at the ballpark, paying tribute to volunteers and caregivers who work tirelessly in the field of dementia care. The night also served to help kick off local fundraising efforts for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – which will take place in Sidney on Sept. 24.
