Hardin-Houston hires personnel

HOUSTON – The Hardin-Houston Board of Education met Aug. 17 to hire personnel.

The board employed Lee Wemmer on a one-year limited contract as a cafeteria staff at $9.78 per hour and as a custodian at $14.47 per hour.

They employed Julie Micali and Jennifer Bumgarner as Clear Creek Tutors at the rate of $20 per hour. They also hired Mark Platfoot as a Washington DC Trip Supervisor at a rate of $468.67.

The board also employed Lauren Tuente as a first grade teacher at the salary of $39,523.

In addition the board:

• Approved the certified and classified substitution lists.

• Accepted the resignation of Laura Adkins, Reesa Hall and Ann Snider.

• Adjusted the salary schedules for the Head Maintenance, Assistant Maintenance & Custodians from 7.5 hours to 8 hours a day.

Also at the meeting they approved all treasurer recommendations and bus routes. They also adopted the Student Success Plan for grades 9-12.

The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Media Center.
