Police log

THURSDAY

-11:24 p.m.: warrant service. Dezmond Hudson, 22, 722 Taft St., was arrested on an outstanding warrant through the Miami County Sheriff’s Office and transported to Miami County.

-7:46 p.m.: theft. A vehicle belonging to Everyday Technologies was stolen from 449 Riverside Drive. The vehicle was unlocked and keys were inside. The vehicle was recovered at 200 E. North St. Investigation to continue.

-1:12 p.m.: contempt. Edwin Wilson, 41, 327 Linden Ave., was arrested on a warrant and transported to jail.

WEDNESDAY

-12:44 p.m.: criminal damaging. Jimmie Martin, 76, 522 E. Court St. Apt. A, reported someone broke the driver’s-side windshield out of his vehicle.

SUNDAY

-5:48 p.m.: theft. Tonya Westerheide, 43, 816 Broadway Ave., reported a 20-inch pink bicycle with white tires and seat was taken from her porch.

SATURDAY

-1:26 p.m.: found property. A Social Security card belonging to Samantha Callahan, 23, was found and placed into evidence for safekeeping.

Accidents

Karen Berning, 63, 6634 Hardin-Wapakoneta Road, was cited for right-of-way left turn after an accident on Thursday at 8:03 a.m.

Berning was traveling eastbound on East Water Street preparing to turn left onto South Main Avenue. The other vehicle was traveling westbound on East Water Street, crossing the intersection. Berning was distracted by bright sunlight and began to turn left into the path of the other vehicle. They collided in the intersection, causing impact damage on the front left of both vehicles.

The driver of the other vehicle was Patti Boshears, 44, 836 S. Miami Ave.

• Ashley Brim, 26, of Wapakoneta, was cited for failure to yield after an accident Wednesday at 6:08 p.m.

Brim was traveling from south on North West Avenue and pulled out into the intersection, causing another vehicle to hit her that was traveling from east to west on Ohio 29.

The driver of the other vehicle was Matt Hileman, 27, 1177 Hubert Drive, Versailles.

-7:58 to 9:11 a.m.: Medics responded to four calls.

THURSDAY

-3:02 to 8:50 p.m.: Medics responded to five calls.
