WEDNESDAY

-1:51 p.m.: contempt. Rodeanna Owen, 36, Piqua, was arrested on an active warrant..

TUESDAY

-11:35 p.m.: panhandling restrictions. Thomas Johnson, 55, 128 ½ N. Pomeroy Ave., was arrested for panhandling restrictions.

-5:10 p.m.: theft. Terry Dennis, 60, 321 N. West Ave., reported someone took his rear Ohio licence plate.

-9:48 a.m.: criminal damaging. Lillie Young, 29, 407 S. Miami Ave., reported someone scratched the driver’s side of her vehicle with a sharp object.

-8:52 a.m.: theft. Donna DeMarcus, 65, 214 N. Walnut Ave., Apt. C, reported someone took her black purse containing $250 and several other personal cards.

Crashes

Richard Maka, 12, 937 Buckeye Ave., was transported by Sidney Fire Department to Willson Health following a vehicle colliding with his bicycle on Friday at 6:44 a.m.

Maka was traveling southbound on the sidewalk on Highland Avenue on the east side of the road when he crossed into the intersection and in the path of the vehicle driven by Gary Jones, 57, 731 W. North St., that was traveling eastbound on West North Street after it had stopped at the stop sign and had began through the intersection at Highland Avenue.

The police report noted that it was dark outside and the area was unlit. The report also said the bike did not have a light on it and Marker was not wearing reflective clothing or helmet.

A police investigation continues and no citations have been issued at this time.

Fire, rescue

WEDNESDAY

-10:23 a.m.: fire. Crews responded to the report of an odor investigation.

-1:44 to 9:34 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to seven calls.

TUESDAY

-10:47 p.m.: fire. Firefighters responded to Court Street and Foster Avenue on the report of a possible car fire.

-5:30 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to 818 N. Main Ave. on the report of an open burn. The burn is not permitted due to a city ordinance.

-7 a.m. to 11:04 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to seven calls.
