SIDNEY — A Sidney man was sentenced to three years in prison Monday for attempted felonious assault.

Jeramy Risdon, 37, of Sidney, was accused of striking a man with a baseball bat in September and causing him serious physical injuries. The original felonious assault charge was amended to attempted as part of a plea agreement, lowering it from a second degree felony to a third.

George Hesser, 45, of Sidney, was charged in connection with this incident too. He took a plea as well and is set to be sentenced on one count of attempted felonious assault on Jan. 19, at 2:30 p.m. He is facing three years in prison as well.
