Special Olympics basketball game planned

BOTKINS — The Shelby County Special Olympics basketball teams will be taking to the court Saturday, Feb. 11, at Botkins at 1 p.m. The game will be played in the athletic complex at the old high school.

The team will be playing students who attend Botkins School. Neil Harrod is the coach of the Special Olympics team. Steve Ryder is the assistant coach.

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office will provide the honor guard for the game.

Members of the Stingers team will be Lesli Davis, Danielle Gillem, Matthew Greer, Eric Gross, Michele Homan, Donald Jarvis, Brandi Kunk, Ronald Leong, Joey Toney, Joyce Neth Vayo, Jeff Ward, Ashley Weber and Bobby Wright.

Members of the Yellow Jackets team include Ana Beil, Melissa Dawson, Aaron Klosterman, Joe Mann, Eric Marshall, Blaine O’Leary, Brice Rehfus, Jamie Rody, Mikayla Ryder, Glen Schulze, Seth Underwood and Janelle Zumberger.

Admission to the game is free.
