FORT LORAMIE — The Annual Mission Breakfast at St Michael’s Hall, in Fort Loramie, will be held Sunday, Sept. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The public is invited to gather with friends and family and learn a little about the world around us. The suggested donation is $6.50 for adults and children are free. The menu includes sausage, eggs, a new homemade pancake recipe, fruit, juice, yogurt, and fair trade coffee. Opportunities for involvement will be on display, and the public is invited.

St Michael and Ss. Peter and Paul are developing a “twinning” or “sister parish” relationship with a Catholic Community in El Salvador. Funds for the breakfast will be used to support the “2015 Summer Solidarity Project.”

This project includes purchasing two lap top computers and Rosetta Stone (English) for the community in El Salvador. The goal is to open lines of communication between the communities. Skype Solidarity Socials with youth in El Salvador and youth from the NFL Pastoral region begin Nov. 1.

A delegation to El Salvador through CRISPAZ (Christians for Peace in El Salvador) May 31 to June 7, 2016 is being planned by the Newport Fort Loramie Sister Parish Team, and the NFL Youth Ministry.

Portfolios of children and elderly from around the world will be available for sponsorship through “Unbound”. For $30 a month, sponsors provide necessary provisions and education for those living in developing countries. Friendships develop with sponsors and those being sponsored through writing letters, sharing photos, and when possible, sponsors have the opportunity to visit with their sponsored friends through delegations.
