Loaiza, Vitale to speak at town hall meeting

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Liberty Group will present a forum entitled “Human Trafficking in Ohio” Monday evening, March 20, at 7 p.m. at the VFW Hall at 2841 Wapakoneta Ave.

Presenters will be Raven Loaiza and Nino Vitale. Loaiza is the regional rape crisis coordinator/bilingual sexaul assault and human trafficking survivor advocate with the Rape Crisis and Anti-Human Trafficking Division of Crime Victim Services. Vitale is the Ohio 85th District State Representative, representing Champaign, Logan and Shelby counties.

Loaiza is on the executive committee of the Northwest Ohio Rescue and Restore Coalition and also the chair of the Tri County Area of the Northwest Ohio Rescue and Restore Coalition. She is a court appointed special advocate in the county where she resides and has past experience with law enforcement, children’s services and juvenile probation. She will be speaking on human trafficking: how to spot it, where to report it and just how big it is. She is a licensed social worker, holding a Master’s degree in social work, as well as a Bachelor’s in criminal justice. She is a Registered Advocate in the State of Ohio.

Vitale has been in private business for 24 years and he and his wife of 18 years are the parents of five boys. They are also Ohio foster parents. Vitale is a pro-life leader who believes in constitutional principles and is a promoter of strong families. He is a sponsor of “The Ohio Human Trafficking and Child Pornography Protection Act.”

Vitale will be giving away 10 copies of “The Road to Independence” Monday evening.

The town hall is free and open to the public.
