Holy Angels Catholic School students Reese Geise, left, 13, daughter of Kevin and Sara Geise, and Genevieve Olding, 14, both of Sidney, daughter of Bryan and Sara Olding, attach ribbons to a pole during the event Cares and Prayers at Holy Angels Catholic Church. The ceremony was held Wednesday, May 17 to raise cancer awareness. Students wrote on the ribbons the names of people they know who were touched by cancer. Holy Angels principal Beth Spicer talked about her own personal fight with breast cancer and the need to get cancer screenings. Holy Angels 5th, 6th and Jr. high band members and choir also performed.
