Hats off to Carter

Playing a game of basketball at Whittier Elementary Thursday, May 18 are, left to right, Asher Wethington, 7, son of Josh and Jael Wethington, Carter McNabb, 7, son of Josh and Trista McNabb, C.J. Goffena, 7, son of Brad and Stacey Goffena, and Sylas Macy, 8, all of Sidney, son of Anthony Macy and Samantha Macy. All four boys wore hats to school for “Hats off to Carter” day. Carter McNabb was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at birth in 2009. Students who donated any amount to the Cystic Fibrosis foundation could wear a hat in school for the whole day. Cystic Fibrosis is a life-threatening disease that affects 30,000 children and young adults in the U.S..
