The driver was wearing a seat belt and sustained only minor injuries. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and Fort Loramie Police Department responded to the scene. A tow truck quickly had the vehicle out of the canal. The crash occurred around 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 30. The pickup was not going slow when it went over the edge of the canal.

Substantial damage could be seen after the pickup was pulled up from the canal.
