Fairlawn Board of Education

SIDNEY — The Fairlawn Local Schools Board of Education will meet Monday, June 12, at 6:30 p.m., in room 122.

Items on the agenda include approving the Amizade overnight trip to West Virginia in 2018; ratifying the negotiated agreement; accepting resignations; approving salary schedules and benefits; acting on service contracts and employment.

Sidney City Council

SIDNEY — The Sidney City Council will meet on Monday, June 12, at 6:30 p.m in the Municipal Building’s Council Chambers.

There will be a discussion about downtown district parking regulations.

Council will be to introduced to an ordinance on weed/junk assessments and is expected to adopt an ordinance on the Shelby Public Transit rates.

Council is also expected to adopt six resolutions, and they are:

• To authorize the city manager to enter into a contract with Mike Chappie to serve as the Sidney Airport Manager;

• The strong opposition of House Bill 49 that proposes centralized collection of municipal net profit of tax returns and changes to the current provision;

• To authorize and directing the city manager to enter into a cooperative agreement with the Dayton-Montgomery County Port Authority and Emerson Climate Technologies in connection with economic development opportunities in Sidney;

• For approval and authorization of Sidney’s job retention tax credit policy;

• To authorize the reappointment of Dan Heitmeyer and Mark Schmitmeyer to the revolving loan committee;

• To authorize the reappointment of Richard Sommer to the Zoning Board of Appeals.

In addition, council will hold an executive session to prepare for possible investment or expenditure of public funds to be made in connection with an economic development project, pending or imminent court action and the discipline of a public employee.

Fort Loramie Village Council

FORT LORAMIE — The Fort Loramie Village Council will meet in regular session, Monday, June 12, at 8 p.m.

On the agenda are a discussion of mail boxes on Main Street and of medical marijuana dispensaries, cultivation and processing.

New Bremen Local School Board

NEW BREMEN — The June 12 meeting has been moved to Wednesday, June 21, at 7 p.m.

Anna Village Council

ANNA — Anna Village Council will meet in regular session at 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 13, in the Council Chambers of Village Hall.

Items on the agenda include payment of bills, four ordinances and one resolution, and they are:

• For authorization of the Village Adminstrator to proceed with curb replacement on Commerce Drive;

• To dedicate lot 399 of the Wannemacher subdivision on Mill Street for storm water detention;

• To establish two-way traffic in the north-south alley;

• To proceed with reconstructing a portion of Young Street between Pike and Third street;

• and to add additional appropriations for the village.

Botkins Joint Board of Education and Village Council

BOTKINS — Botkins Board of Education will meet in regular session and in a joint meeting with the Botkins Village Council at 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 13, in the Botkins School.

Council is expected to discuss fencing at Cole Field, the storage building adjacent to the pool, Botkins Community park and parking on Park Lane.

The Board of Education is expected to discuss assistance with the removal of a tree near Cole Field, future projects in the soccer/track complex and provide an update on the subdivision plans with the council.

In addition, the board is expected to approve temporary appropriations for the 2018 fiscal year, substitute teacher pay for 2017-2018, set lunch prices, accept donations, hire personnel, approve the tournament manager rate, discuss online make-up calamity days, award commendations, approve negotiations and enter an executive session.

Loramie Township trustees

RUSSIA — Loramie Township trustees will meet in regular session at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 13, in the Russia Fire House.

All meetings are open to the public.

Sidney Tree Board

SIDNEY — The Sidney Tree Board will meet on Thursday, June 15, at 4 p.m. in council chambers in the Municipal Building.

The board will discuss tree planting budget cut, the updated street tree list, Michael Jannides’ reappointment and hazardous trees.

Civil Service Commission

SIDNEY — The Civil Service Commission will meet on Friday, June 16, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Council Chamber of the Municipal Building located at 201 W. Poplar St. in downtown Sidney. The commission will be meeting to interview police officer applicants and certify the eligibility list for the position of police officer.
