SIDNEY — The Midwest Regional Service Center Governing Board will hold a special meeting Friday, July 14, at 10 a.m. at the Bellefontaine office, 121 Opera St., Bellefontaine, to consider the next steps in Superintendent Heather O’Donnell’s employment.

According to a press release from Board President Randy Sailor received Thursday morning, “O’Donnell has assigned to her home during regular work hours and directed not to be present on MRESC property or at MRESC activities.”

O’Donnell, of Lewistown, was indicted on two counts of endangering children, both third-degree felonies, Tuesday by the Logan County grand jury.

Her husband, Patrick O’Donnell, was indicted on 14 charges: four counts of rape, all first degree felonies, four counts of sexual battery, all second degree felonies, and six counts of gross sexual imposition, all third degree felony.

Patrick O’Donnell, who is the superintendent of Indian Lake Schools, was first arrested on June 19 following an investigation by the Washington Township Police Department. He was charged with gross sexual imposition when he was accused of abusing a 13-year-old girl since 2013. The girl resides in Logan County but is not a student at Indian Lake Schools.
