A win for swimmers

Sidney-Shelby County YMCA Swim Pack President Jeff Payne, left, and longtime Sidney High School and Sidney-Shelby County YMCA swim coach Mary Jannides, both of Sidney, share a laugh after a ceremony celebrating the installation of the new, top of the line, scoreboard hanging on the wall behind them at the Sidney-Shelby County YMCA Monday, Sept. 25. The scoreboard is a huge improvement over the old one which could only show lane times one at a time. The new scoreboard can show the swim times for every swim lane at the same time. The new board is also brighter making it easier to read. A plaque was made recognizing all the donors that made the project possible including the Sidney High School Athletic Department.
