SIDNEY — Two roads in Shelby County will be closed beginning Monday, Oct. 16.

The Shelby County Highway Department will be working with personnel from the Indiana and Ohio Railroad for railroad crossing repair work on Lock Two Road beginning Monday, Oct. 16. The work will take place between Wones Road and state Route 65. It is anticipated that Lock Two Road will be closed for one week for the repair work.

The second closure deals with the highway department making bridge repairs on McCloskey School Road. The road will be closed to traffic between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The closure will take place between state Route 29 and Leatherwood Creek Road. Emergency vehicles and buses will be allowed through. The project will take approximately five weeks to complete.
