BOTKINS — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash that occurred late Thursday afternoon along state Route 219 north of Botkins.

The Botkins Fire Department, Shelby County Sheriff’s Office and Anna Rescue responded to the scene. A female driver was killed. There were two children in the car with the driver.

The accident remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office, which did not release further information by press time.
