It is funded by a 6 percent Lodging Tax taken from Sidney Hotels, 25 percent of which is given to the Visitor’s Bureau. The Visitor’s Bureau has an annual budget of $112,000. The Sidney Visitors Bureau website, http://www.visitsidneyshelby.com/ had approximately 19,300 visits in 2017. Raible also talked about local attractions and activities such as the Airstream factory tour, Lake Loramie State Park and Country Concert. Senior Center of Sidney-Shelby County director Eileen Wiseman announced during the carry-in that the senior center had 40,550 visits in 2017.
