SIDNEY — Tony Bornhorst was elected president of the Shelby County Board of Commissioners, and Julie Ehemann was elected vice-president during the board’s organizational meeting in January.
During other recent meetings, the commissioners:
• Contracted with the United American Capital Corp. for investment consulting services.
• Approved the annexation to the village of Anna of 25.2 acres.
• Authorized advertising for bids for the 2018 roadside mowing program. The bids will be opened Feb. 20 at 11 a.m.
• Met with Shelby County OSU Extension 4-H Educator Cassie Dietrich concerning a 4-H manufacturing program planned for local elementary schools.
