S & D Dairy issues a voluntary recall

YORKSHIRE — S & D Dairy LLC, of Yorkshire, Ohio, has announced a voluntary recall of its chocolate milk product due to improper pasteurization. The product is being recalled because it did not achieve proper pasteurization temperature during processing and pathogens could have survived.

This recall involves a very limited amount of product, approximately three half gallons and 14 12-ounce bottles with the code date of Nov. 25. The chocolate milk was sold at Winner’s Meat and Grocery in Osgood and Davis Meats of Sidney.

There have been no reports of illness involving products addressed in this recall, however, individuals exhibiting signs or symptoms of foodborne illness should contact a physician immediately.
