SIDNEY — A Dickman Supply employee has been recognized as a young professional in his career.

The Electrical Distributor (tED) Magazine named its “30 Under 35” award recipients and Dickman’s Chad Sherrill was one of those honored. This list recognizes professionals from around the United States who have “the initiative, drive, integrity and creativity to move the industry forward in the decades to come.” It is a representation of the emerging leaders in the electrical industry, both on the manufacturing and wholesale distribution side. Honorees will be presented their awards this week during the National Association of Electrical Distributors’ Leadership Enhancement and Development national conference.

A graduate of the University of Dayton, Sherrill came to Dickman Supply two years ago in the company’s Future Leaders Program. In this hands-on management training program, he worked in every aspect of the business to gain understanding of the operation from start to finish.

With the opening of Dickman Supply’s Integrated Supply Division in 2014, Sherrill accepted the position of inventory management specialist. He helped put the standards and procedures in place for Dickman’s new vendor-managed inventory program, which has since been implemented by dozens of customers in their service area.
