DAYTON — Chris Butler has joined Premier Health as chief consumer officer, a new role created to focus the health system’s efforts to best support patients’ health and wellness throughout their lives.

Butler previously worked in the banking industry for 15 years, most recently at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he served as senior vice president, consumer segment marketing director.

In his previous roles, Butler led the corporate marketing team in driving differentiated consumer segment strategies. Prior to joining Chase, Butler served at Wells Fargo as the senior vice president, Hispanic segment director.

In his new role at Premier Health, Butler, who has a strong background in consumer-driven marketing and customer experience, will better focus Premier Health’s approach in more fully engaging consumers at all stages of their lives. As Premier Health pursues a population health model of care, it seeks to build enhanced consumer loyalty over many years of encounters through various channels.

Butler earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wake Forest University.
