DAYTON — Midmark Corporation, a leading provider of medical, dental and veterinary healthcare equipment solutions, has announced it has finalized lease negotiations and will move its headquarters to Austin Landing by Oct. 1, 2018.

Midmark will move approximately 20 to 25 positions from the current Dayton location, including members of its C-suite, finance, clinical affairs and other select positions and will consolidate its West Chester office to the Austin Landing location. In addition, there will be approximately 25 drop-in work stations available for teammates visiting from other locations.

Speaking about the announcement, Bob Morris, chief financial officer of Midmark, said, “Our decision to locate our headquarters within the Dayton region continues to be a positive one. The area is rich in talent and innovation, and the impact is visible throughout Midmark. The city of Dayton and the University of Dayton have been incredible hosts over the past five years, and we thank them for their support. We look forward to our continued partnership as we maintain our presence in the area.”

“Midmark’s presence on campus strengthened our partnership, and we are especially grateful for the support extended to our students in learning opportunities and state-of-the-art equipment,” said University of Dayton President Eric F. Spina. “We look forward to building on our valued partnership as the company continues to grow.”

The new headquarters will move to the Austin Landing development at the corner of Penny Lane and Rigby Road, where it will maintain a 12,000-square-foot space located on the third floor of an office that is to be constructed in 2018.

Larry Dillin, president of VisCap Development, said, “We are delighted to add the Midmark corporate leadership team to our growing list of great tenants at Austin Landing. The property continues to be recognized as an important hub of business activity in the Dayton-Cincinnati metro market. The new building structure will be a significant complement in the heart of the development.”

The Versailles campus will remain Midmark’s largest site, housing primarily manufacturing, associated support functions and the customer experience department, continuing its more than 100-year history of Ohio-based manufacturing. Midmark will also continue with plans to break ground in Versailles for its new technology center in 2018, which is expected to bring 97 new jobs to the region.

The University of Dayton Research Institute will expand into the former Midmark space in the 1700 S. Patterson Building.
