GREENVILLE — The Darke County Parks annual Prairie Days Pie Baking Contest will be Sept. 26 at Shawnee Prairie Preserve, 4267 state Route 502, Greenville.

Bakers may submit pies in apple, berry, peach and other categories. No meringue or refrigerated pies will be accepted. Pies must be baked in disposable pans. No pie pans will be returned.

There is a $2 per pie entry fee. A cash prize will be awarded to the best-of-show entry.

Following the contest, submitted pies will be sold to benefit the Friends of Darke County Parks.
