-9:15 a.m.: property damage crash. Deputies responded to a report a box truck crashed into the bridge at the railroad crossing at Mason Road and then when trying to turn around, got struck in the ditch.

-7:36 p.m.: trespassing. Deputies received a trespassing report at 1556 River Road in Orange Township.

-1:24 p.m.: property damage crash. Deputies responded to a report of a crash at Barhorst Road at state Route 29 in Van Buren Township.

-11:19 a.m.: K9 training. Deputies conducted K9 training at the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office on Gearhart Road.

-10:26 a.m.: threats or harassment. Deputies responded to a threat report at 2901 Fair Road in Clinton Township.

-11:45 p.m.: tree down. Deputies and Fort Loramie Police responded to the report of a tree down in the 9000 block of Eilerman Road in McLean Township.

-7:01 p.m.: property damage crash. Deputies responded to a report of a crash in the 16000 block of Southland Road in Dinsmore Township.

-11:12 a.m.: burglary. Deputies were dispatched on the report an air conditioner was pushed out of a window at 5880 State Route 29 in Perry Township.

-11:02 a.m.: fight. Deputies responded to the report males were fighting at 10995 Little Turtle Way in Washington Township.

-11:14 p.m.: threats or harassment. Deputies responded to a threats or harassment report at 2783 Beulah Drive in Turtle Creek Township.

-9:18 p.m.: threats or harassment. Deputies responded to a threats or harassment report at 3212 Red Feather Road in Washington Township.

-7:37 a.m.: trash dumping. Deputies responded to a complaint at Buschur’s Market that trash not from the business is continuously put into Market’s dumpster.

-6:58 a.m.: property damage crash. Deputies responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash at Fair Road at Schenk Road in Clinton Township.

-12:47 a.m.: trespassing. Deputies received a trespassing report at 108 E. Main St. in Salem Township.

SUNDAY

-6:42 p.m.: investigate complaint. Deputies were dispatched to the 10800 block of Little Turtle Way on the report gun shots were heard in the area.

-6:23 p.m.: investigate complaint. Deputies were dispatched to the 19000 block of Morris Rose Road on the report someone was driving around in the area and shooting.

-4:30 p.m.: threats or harassment. Deputies responded to a threats or harassment report at 58880 State Route 55 in Perry Township.

-1:19 a.m.: assist other unit. Deputies responded to assist another unit at Speedway on Michigan Street in Clinton Township.

-1:14 a.m.: fight. Deputies responded to a report of a fight at 553 N. Vandemark Road in Clinton Township.

-12:58 a.m.: assist other unit. Deputies responded to assist Sidney Police with a pursuit that ended in a crash at Campbell Road at Fourth Avenue in Clinton Township.

-12:40 a.m.: assist other unit. Deputies responded to assist Sidney Police in the 700 block of West North Street in Clinton Township.

SATURDAY

-11:06 p.m.: threats or harassment. Deputies responded to a harassment report at 7100 State Route 66 in Cynthian Township.

-10:20 p.m.: fireworks. Deputies responded to a report fireworks were being shot off at Johnathan Drive at South Kuther Road.

-10:18 p.m.: trespassing. Deputies received a report cars were driving past the “Road Closed” sign and pulled into the caller’s driveway at 15257 Botkins Road.

-8:26 p.m.: neighbor trouble. Deputies responded to a report of trash and broke-down vehicles in the 10900 block of Little Turtle Way in Washington Township.

-6:56 p.m.: trespassing. Deputies received a report people on four-wheelers were trespassing on the railroad property at Stoker Road.

4:15 p.m.: theft. Deputies were dispatched on the report of $100 to the 300 block of South Pike Street in Franklin Township.

-7:42 p.m.: property damage crash. Deputies responded to a report a vehicle hit a cable box in the 3000 block of Cisco Road on Cisco Road in Cynthian Township.

-4:46 p.m.: scam. Deputies responded to a scam report at 13511 Miami Shelby Road in Orange Township.

-4:37 p.m.: trespassing. Deputies received a report a jeep trespassed at 3003 Cisco Road in Clinton Township.

-1:06 p.m.: harassment. Deputies responded to a harassment report at 8800 South Street in Van Buren Township.

-9:17 a.m.: theft. Deputies took a report of the theft of $2,100 from a scam in the 2600 block of West Mason Road in Franklin Township.

May 28

-7:53 p.m.: threats or harassment. Deputies responded to a threats or harassment report at 3556 State Route 47 in Cynthian Township.

Crashes

No one was cited after a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 6:58 a.m.

James R. Hemmelgarn, 61, 624 N. Knoop Johnston Road, was traveling eastbound on Schenk Road and was stopped at the stop sign at Fair Road but then went forward into the intersection into the path of the northbound vehicle on Fair Road, driven by Dilan M. Beard, 25, of Piqua, causing a collision.

• No one was cited after a two-vehicle crash on Friday, May 29, at 7:42 p.m.

Kaitlyn Marie Deal, 16, of Sidney, was traveling eastbound on Cisco Road when she swerved off the right side of the road and into a ditch as she was distracted by a pain from a previous injury. Her vehicle struck a telephone wire box when it went into the ditch.

-9:19 a.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue responded to the 5500 block of state Route 47 in Cynthian Township.

-2:58 a.m.: medical. Port Perry Salem Rescue responded to the 17400 of state Route 47 in Salem Township.

-10:11 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue, Botkins Police and deputies responded to the report of a fight in progress in the 100 block of North Mill Street in Dinsmore Township.

-6:59 p.m.: medical. Port Perry Salem Rescue and Port Jefferson Fire responded to the 5800 of state Route 29 in Perry Township.

-5:03 p.m.: fire. Lockington Fire responded to a fire alarm at Clear Creek Farms on Kuther Road in Washington Township.

-3:40 p.m.: medical. Houston Rescue, Sidney Medics and deputies responded to the 10700 block of Millcreek Road in Washington Township.

Two drivers suffered injuries in a crash Tuesday evening when they both attempted to pass a tractor and other vehicles on state Route 29. According to Sgt. Joel Howell of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, a red Ford Mustang was travelling southbound on state Route 29 and attempting to pass a line of cars following a tractor. A gray Chevrolet pickup, travelling southbound on state Route 29, also attempted to pass and was read-ended by the Mustang. The pickup then drove into a field near the Wenger Road intersection. Along with the Sheriff’s Office, Fort Loramie Community Fire Company and Fort Loramie Rescue Squad also responded to the scene. Michael J. Smith, 30, of Elmendorf, Texas, driver of the Mustang, was cited with improper passing.
