MONDAY

-8:35 p.m.: criminal damaging. Lee Blust, 682 W. Hoewisher Road, reported someone made scuff marks on his vehicle at his residence. Loss was $100.

-6:30 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Louisa I. Munford, 28, of Piqua, on a contempt warrant.

-6:18 p.m.: property lost. Douglas Smith, 10990 Fort Loramie-Swanders Road, reported he left his cell phone in a cart at Kroger. When he went back to get the phone, it was gone. The phone was valued at $200.

-5:12 p.m.: theft. Daniel Wade, 220 Oak Ave., reported a bicycle, valued at $60, was stolen from his residence.

-3:42 p.m.: theft. Ryan Copeland, 507 S. Main Ave., reported his gold ring, valued at $500, was stolen from his residence.

-3:38 p.m.: property found. A Kentucky driver’s license belonging to Crystal Mainer, of Murray, Kentucky, was found at Tawawa Park.

-1:35 p.m.: property lost. A juvenile reported she lost her wallet.

-11:08 a.m.: missing person. Mary Devreax, 910 Buckeye Ave., reported her son, Kentrell Jones, 18, of the same address, has been missing more than a month.

-10:36 a.m.: theft. Veronica Stearns, 1102 N. Main Ave., reported two bicycles, valued at $100, were stolen from her front porch.

-2:33 a.m.: receiving stolen property. Police arrested Jesse J. Yates, 24, 326 Maple St., on charges of obstructing official business and resisting arrest. The charges are in connection with the theft of a trailer, valued at $1,000, owned by Robert Falke, 609 Maywood Place.

-12:04 a.m.: property found. While on patrol, a police officer found a bicycle in the 2100 block of North Main Avenue and placed it in the police garage.

SUNDAY

-11:01 p.m.: criminal damaging. Nicholas Cundiff, 8244 Port Haven Drive, reported someone threw numerous rocks at his vehicle at 222 Queen St., scratching the paint and damaging a window. Loss was $1,000.

-5:34 p.m.: theft. Police charged Shaina Reed, 29, 804 Spruce Ave., with theft. She allegedly stole toothpaste, valued at $3, from Dollar General, 166 W. Court St.

-10:32 a.m.: criminal damaging. Landscaping at the residence of Marcella Varney, 807 N. Ohio Ave., was damaged. Loss was $100.

-8:42 a.m.: burglary. Amie Raines, 808 Broadway Ave., reported $60 cash was stolen from her residence and a picture frame was damaged, causing a $50 loss,

-4:20 a.m.: burglary. Mark Francis, 313 S. Vandemark Road, reported a burglary at his residence.

-3:48 a.m.: criminal mischief. Someone threw food onto the vehicle of Robb North, 519 W. North St., in the area of Pomeroy and North streets.

-12:22 a.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested Jaton Santos, 39, 240 N. Pomeroy Ave., in the 200 block of Clay Street on a charge of driving under the influence.

-12:01 a.m.: contempt. Police arrested Heather A. McClellan, 29, of Piqua, on a warrant.

-Midnight: theft. Stacey Overton, 866 S. Main Ave., reported someone stole a pit bulldog, valued at $100, from her residence.

SATURDAY

-11:46 p.m.: property found. A set of keys was found at 1215 Campbell Rod and given to police.

-11:38 p.m.: assault. Goldie Gariety, 815 Broadway Ave., reported someone assaulted her at her residence. She had an apparent minor injury.

-10:57 p.m.: domestic violence. Police arrested a 12-year-old girl on a charge of domestic violence for allegedly assaulting another juvenile. The victim had an apparent minor injury.

-10:55 p.m.: theft. Richard Brown, 2727 Kristy Way, reported the theft of a set of keys at 980 Fair Road.

-10:52 p.m.: contempt. Police arrested Tanisha Sims, 27, 216 Grove St., on a warrant.

-10:46 p.m.: domestic violence. Police arrested Joshua A. Causey, 33, 510 N. Miami Ave., Apt. C, on a charge of domestic violence. He allegedly assaulted Lisa Six, of the same address. She had apparent minor injuries.

-3:57 p.m.: theft. Personnel at Walmart reported they had a shoplifter in custody. Police arrested Sherrie L. Sprague-Cotterman, 39, 429 Riverside Drive, on a theft charge. She allegedly stole $4.29 worth of merchandise.

-12:30 p.m.: criminal damaging. Pamela Alexander, 121 W. Water St., reported someone threw eggs on her auto at her residence. Damage was set at $1,000.

-1:02 a.m.: underage consumption and disorderly conduct. Police arrested Jenson L. Merricle, 20, of Wapakoneta, at 711 S. Ohio Ave. on charges of underage consumption of alcohol and disorderly conduct.

FRIDAY

-8:08 p.m.: possession of drug and criminal tools. Police found a capsule and spoons with possible heroin residue at the scene of a possible drug overdose at 809 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. E.

-1:52 p.m.: theft. Hugh Roach, 504 Urban Ave., reported the theft of a floor safe from his residence. The safe contained baseball and basketball cards, valued at $6,750.

-11:20 a.m.: counterfeit money. Personnel at Lee’s Chicken, 1230 Wapakoneta Ave., reported someone passed a counterfeit bill at the business.

-2:27 a.m,: assault. Britney Young, 530 S. Main Ave., reported someone assaulted her. She had an apparent minor injury.

-1:12 a.m.: warrant. Police arrested Michael Huckleby, 28, of Powell, on a warrant from Darke County during a traffic stop.

THURSDAY

-11:28 p.m.: theft. Lisa Nichols, 520 S. Ohio Ave., reported the theft of $40 cash and other items from her residence.

-8:44 p.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested Rhonda R. Davis, 51, 107 Edgewood St., at Wapakoneta Avenue and Robinwood Street on a charge of driving under the influence.

-5:16 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Tisha Hecht, 36, 407 S. Miami Ave., on an indictment from Shelby County Common Pleas Court on charges of possession of drugs and possession of criminal tools.

-2:18 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Jacob Agner, 31, 136 W. Robinwood St., on grand jury indictments.

-12:56 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Jacob Martin, 21, 208 Forrest St., on an assault warrant from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

-12:35 p.m.: theft. Personnel at Dollar General, 166 W. Court St., reported someone stole merchandise from the store.

-10:58 a.m.: criminal damaging. Daniel Ostendorf, 318 Brooklyn Ave., reported someone broke the passenger-side window of his vehicle at his residence. Loss was $100.

-9:15 a.m.: theft. Lisa Finkenbine, 402 S. Franklin Ave., reported someone entered her vehicle at her residence and stole a GPS unit, valued at $100.

-9:02 a.m.: property found. A bicycle found in 1000 Fourth Ave. was placed in the police evidence garage.

-8:43 a.m.: property found. A bicycle found at West North Street and the Conrail Railroad was place in the police evidence garage.

JULY 1

-8:41 a.m.: theft. Personnel at the Dawg Pound bar, 553 N. Vandemark Road, reported someone stole two bottles of alcohol, valued at $60, from the bar.

-7:31 a.m.: theft. Tareena Bladen, 929 Buckeye Ave., reported a dog cage, valued at $89, was stolen from her yard.

JUNE 30

-6:58 p.m.: property lost. Faron Rouse, of St. Marys, reported he lost his wallet and it was later found without $77 in cash that had been in it.

Accidents

Luis Macias Jr., 46, 416 Park St., was cited with failure to maintain an assured clear distance after an accident July 1 at 4:16 p.m.

Macias was stopped in traffic in the 100 block of East Court Street. He thought traffic was moving and drove forward, striking the rear of a car driven by Christina Barga, 44, 611 Chestnut Ave.

• Joyce Denise, 45, 204 Royan Ave., was cited with failure to yield the right of way after an accident Friday at 3:03 p.m.

Denise was westbound on Ohio 47 and turned left onto Old Vandemark Road. She turned in front of an eastbound auto driven by Scott Hammel, 21, of Piqua, and the vehicles collided. Occupants of the Hammel car suffered minor injuries.

• Glenda Green, 50, 1205 Hilltop Ave., Apt. A, was cited with failure to maintain an assured clear distance after an accident Saturday at 12:51 p.m.

Green was westbound in the 300 block of East North Street and struck the rear of an eastbound car that was stopped to turn left into a parking lot. The driver of the other auto was Daniel Nickelson, 62, 333 E. North St., Apt. 404.

• John Elliot, 74, 4005 Paulus Road, Houston, was cited with making an improper lane change after an accident Thursday at 3:49 p.m.

Elliot was eastbound on Michigan Street in the right lane and merged into the left lane near Vandemark Road. His pickup truck collided with a semi rig that was eastbound in the left lane. The driver of the semi was James Osborne, 53, 777 W. Russell Road.

• An accident occurred Saturday at 10:40 p.m. in the 500 block of Fourth Avenue.

Tonia Shepherd, 42, 1529 E. Court St., Apt. B, was parked on the street and opened her door into traffic. The door was hit by the passenger-side mirror of a passing auto. The driver of that auto asked if everyone was OK and then left the area. Shepherd told police she thought the driver was intoxicated.

• Nil Patel, 18, 1350 Campbell Road, was cited with a turning violation after an accident Monday at 8:02 a.m.

Patel was northbound on North Main Avenue in the right lane and attempted to turn left onto North Street. His pickup truck struck a northbound car that was in the left lane. The driver of the other auto was Dimitri Bishop, 23, of Troy.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-11:46 a.m. to 1:07 p.m.: Medics responded to three calls.

-7:51 a.m.: fire alarm. Firefighters were called to the 1600 block of Campbell Road by a fire alarm.

MONDAY

-2:42 a.m. to 8:33 p.m.: Medics responded to 14 calls.

-1:28 p.m.: brush fire. Firefighters were called to the 2500 block of Wapakoneta Avenue to extinguish a brush fire.

SUNDAY

-9:11 p.m.: open burn. Firefighters were called to the 800 block of Spruce Avenue. Firefighters determined an open burn there was permitted by city ordinance.

-2:14 to 8:55 p.m.: Medics responded to six calls.

-4:25 p.m.: gas grill fire. Firefighters were called to 413 E. Edgewood St., where a gas grill was on fire next to a residence. The fire was contained to the grill and the rear of a garage.
