Sheriff’s log

TUESDAY

-3:35 p.m.: theft. Deputies investigated the report of items taken out of a grage in the 18000 block of Johnston Road.

-3:34 p.m.: theft. Deputies investigated a theft in the 11000 block of state Route 705.

MONDAY

-1:24 p.m.: theft. Deputies investigated the report of stolen credit card information in the 8000 block of Holthaus Road.

-8:52 a.m.: vandalism. Deputies investigated a report of a damaged mailbox in the 10000 block of state Route 705.

-12:21 a.m.: property damage accident. Deputies responded to the 400 block of Risha Avenue on the report of a fender bender.

SUNDAY

-5:11 p.m.: shooting. Deputies investigated the report of neighbors shooting for two hours in the 5000 block of Frazier-Guy Road.

-4:38 p.m.: shooting. Deputies investigated the report of someone shooting in the woods in the 300 block of Tow Path Trail.

SATURDAY

-8:16 p.m.: theft without consent. Mardean R. Moeller, 15475 Amsterdam Road, Anna, reported the theft of two rings from the residence. The rings were valued at $379.

Accidents

One person was transported to the hospital following an accident Saturday at 8:56 p.m. on Mason Road.

Vickie L. Napier, 54, Pemberton, was eastbound on Mason Road. Matthew D. Duke, 36, Portland, Indiana, was westbound on Mason Road. Duke’s pickup truck was pulling an implement trailer with a scissor lift on it.

As the vehicles passed one another, the vehicles struck mirrors then Napier’s vehicle struck the front of the fender of the trailer. Napier’s vehicle swerved off the left side of the road, striking a large rock.

Napier was transported to Wilson Hospital by Perry Port Salem Rescue.

Napier’s pickup truck was disabled in the crash. Duke’s truck sustained moderate damage.

• Karlie Renee Jutte, 24, Fort Recovery, was cited for driving under suspension following a tw0-vehicle accident Saturday at 5:05 p.m. at the intersection of Sidney Freyburg and Lock Two roads.

Jutte was stopped at the posted stop sign at the intersection, facing northbound. Bryan D. Esser, 54, 212 Edgewood St., Botkins, was traveling eastbound on Lock Two Road. Jutte failed to yield for Esser’s vehicle.

Esser’s vehicle struck Jutte’s vehicle in the driver’s side.

Esser was transported to Wilson Hospital by Anna Rescue. None of the passengers in either vehicle were injured.

Both vehicles were disabled in the accident.

• Austin Ransome, 18, 1525 Kenwood Drive, Apt. 6, was cited for failure to control after an accident on Thursday at 3:55 p.m.

Ransome was traveling westbound on Deam Road, when he lost control and exited the roadway to the right, causing the vehicle to roll over and come to rest right side up in a field on the north side of the road.

Two children in the vehicle were taken to Wilson Hospital with possible injuries by Sheriff’s Deputies to be checked out.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-10:27 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and police responded to the 200 block of Emerald Court.

-9:50 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Botkins police responded to the 400 block of East South Street.

MONDAY

-11:23 p.m.: medical. Houston Rescue responded to Cecil Road at Stoker Road.

-10:21 p.m.: fire. Lockington Fire and deputies responded to Patterson Haplin Road at Stoker Road for a vehicle fire.

-8:12 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the Honda Plant.

-7:04 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 13000 block of Pasco-Montra Road.

-3:20 a.m.: medical. Perry-Port-Salem Rescue responded to the 12000 block of Ailes Road.

SUNDAY

-9:21 p.m.: fire. Anna Fire Department responded to the 98 mile marker of Interstate 75 for a vehicle possibly on fire.

-5:16 p.m.: mdical. Anna Rescue and deputies responded to the Stop 99 Truck Stop.
