MONDAY
-10:08 p.m.: theft. Brenda Epley, 48, 993 Buckeye Ave., reported a white wooden table was taken from her front porch.
-11:07 a.m.: theft. Timothy Geise, owner of Dickman Supply, 1991 St. Marys Road, reported the theft of computer parts totally more than $43,000 occurring sometime between Monday and Thursday of last week.
-8:25 a.m.: breaking and entering. It was reported that an unknown person forced entry into a city owned storage garage at 449 Riverside Drive and removed property between Friday night and Monday morning. Damage on the exterior doors estimated at $200.
-3:08 a.m.: breaking and entering. The Sidney Car Wash, 721 N. Vandemark Road, was entered and coffee cans containing $850 in quarters were stolen. Also, a door frame was cut and a door on a coin changer was damaged, causing a $600 loss.
-12:31 a.m.: burglary. Quentin Blandzinski, 427 1/2 S. Miami Ave., reported someone entered his house and stole a TV and Playstation 4, valued at $750.
SUNDAY
-8:57 p.m.: property found. An Ohio license plate was found and given to police. It was believed to be the property of Robert Poindexter, of Troy.
-8:38 p.m.: contempt. Police arrested Travis W. Brown, 31, 323 Franklin Ave., on a warrant.
-7:18 p.m.: theft. Mary Gillem, 6737 Main St., Pemberton, reported a cell phone was stolen from her unlocked car at Custenborder Field.
-4:38 p.m.: drug abuse. Police arrested Amy N. Coffey, 18, 106 E. Robinwood St., at West Avenue and North Street on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug abuse instruments.
-2:35 p.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested Chad M. Hughes, 28, of Piqua, at Walnut Avenue and North Street on charges of driving under the influence and drug abuse.
-12:48 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Timothy J. Gent, 29, at large, during a traffic stop on a warrant for felony drug possession from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.
-4:22 a.m.: criminal damaging. A window was broken out of the residence of Brian Schaffner, 234 New St. Loss was $400.
-3:45 a.m.: criminal damaging. Mykaila Russell, 1213 Hilltop Ave., Apt. C, reported a window in her vehicle was damaged at her residence. Loss was $250.
-2:25 a.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested April Schutte, 34, of Wapakoneta, at Michigan Street and Vandemark Road on a charge of driving under the influence.
SATURDAY
-11:21 a.m.: property found. A bag and fishing tackle were found at 314 East Ave.
-10:01 a.m.: theft. Jeffrey Cable, 141 W. Parkwood St., reported two juveniles stole the GPS unit, valued at $200, from his vehicle at 132 N. Main Ave.
-9:24 a.m.: property found. A backpack containing clothing was found at Michigan Street and Vandemark Road and given to police.
-9:19 a.m.: vandalism. A wooden post was broken off its metal base on a bridge at Custenborder Field. Loss was $50.
-7:15 a.m.: unauthorized use of motor vehicle. Police arrested a 13-year-old boy for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. He allegedly took a vehicle owned by Angel Barker, 752 Countryside Lane.
-1:21 a.m.: assault. Police arrested Michael E. McClellan, 28, at large, on charges of assault, criminal damaging and criminal trespass. The charges are in connection with an incident in which Kathy Cushard, 811 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. G, was assaulted and a door frame was damaged.
FRIDAY
-10:42 p.m.: property found. A BB gun was found and given to police.
-10:23 p.m.: assault. Two men accused each other of assault at 811 Arrowhead Drive. No arrests were made.
-6:03 p.m.: theft. Personnel at the Family Dollar store, 1024 Wapakoneta Ave., reported a theft from the store.
-4:36 p.m.: theft. Heather McClain, 2170 Westminster Drive, reported someone entered her van at the Shelby County Fairgrounds and stole medication.
-3:38 p.m.: identity theft. Loarn Holman, 600 Second Ave., reported someone used his personal information to get a credit card and charged $235.54 on the card.
-3:11 p.m.: identity theft. Mark Hoersten, 918 Center St., reported someone used his information without his permission.
-1:37 p.m.: burglary. Reginald Nichols, 306 Monroe St., reported someone kicked in the back door of his residence and stole a shotgun, valued at $1,000, and $500 in change.
-1:09 p.m.: criminal damaging. Aaron Oskowski, 516 N. Ohio Ave., reported someone used a key to damage his vehicle at 502 S. West Ave. Loss was $500.
-11:33 a.m.: obstructing official business. Police arrested a boy on Hilltop Avenue on charges of obstructing official business and resisting arrest.
-10:35 a.m.: endangering children. Police found a child with his dog in the area of St. Marys Avenue and Park Street and returned them to the boy’s mother.
-10:25 a.m.: contempt. Police arrested Gaige Overton, 19, 866 S. Main Ave., on a warrant.
-9:51 a.m.: endangering children. A woman reported seeing two children walking down the sidewalk in the area of Brooklyn Avenue and Monroe Street without any adult supervision. Children Services responded and the father was found. The children were returned to the father.
-9:19 a.m.: theft. A bicycle owned by Anthony Francis, 602 S. Ohio Ave., was stolen from the residence. Also, another bike was found at the property.
-8:48 a.m.: contempt. Police arrested Dylan Little, 22, 1221 Park St., on a warrant.
-7:30 a.m.: theft. Rodney Campbell, 740 N. Miami Ave., reported someone entered his vehicle at his residence and stole a GPS unit, valued at $160, and $400 cash.
-6:05 a.m.: theft. Amber Robinson, 983 Buckeye Ave., reported someone stole a wallet, valued at $20, containing credit cards and other items from a vehicle at 141 Gemini Drive.
JULY 22
-2:14 p.m.: domestic violence. Police charged an 11-year-old boy after he allegedly hit a woman with a stick.
Accidents
Michael Olivieri, 49, 1118 Port Jefferson Road, was cited with failure to maintain an assured clear distance after an accident Thursday at 4:55 p.m.
Olivieri was eastbound on Russell Road behind a pickup truck driven by Shawn Burkett, 36, 3561 W. Michigan St. Burkett slowed to turn right into the driveway at Cassano’s. The Olivieri car hit the Burkett truck in the rear. Olivieri had nonincapacitating injuries. Sidney Fire & Emergency Services took him to Wilson Memorial Hospital.
• Cassandra Lafoe, 18, 2439 State Route 364, Minster, was cited with failure to drive within lanes after an accident Friday at 8:48 a.m.
Lafoe was southbound on Vandemark Road in the left lane. She tried to turn right into a driveway at 55 S. Vandemark Road and collided with a pickup truck that was southbound in the right lane. The driver of the truck was Barry Stephens, 52, 1748 N. Kuther Road.
• An accident occurred Friday at 9:55 a.m. in the 300 block of Folkerth Avenue.
Brenda Siegel, 39, 8727 Wright-Puthoff Road, was southbound, stopped in traffic. A southbound car driven by Phyllis Miller, 72, 12705 Sidney-Freyburg Road, Anna, stopped behind Siegel and then bumped the Siegel car. No citations were issued because the damage was minor.
• Mary R. Matei, 40, of Avon, was cited for a left-turn violation after an accident Saturday at 10:57 a.m.
Matei was southbound in the right lane of South Ohio Avenue and attempted to turn left onto Water Street. Her auto collided with a car driven southbound in the left lane by Misty Swineford, 41, 225 Forest St.
Fire, rescue
TUESDAY
-9:13 a.m.: Medics responded to a call.
-1:50 a.m.: Firefighters responded to the 92 mile marker of I-75 southbound for a semi-trailer leaking diesel fuel.
-1:35 a.m.: Crews responded to the 400 block of Riverside Drive on a possible structure fire. No fire was found. Electrical issue.
MONDAY
-10:52: Firefighters responded to the 600 block of North Ohio to investigate an electrical issue.
-11:31 to 8:46 p.m.: Medics responded to eight calls.
-10:27 a.m.: accident. Crews responded to 1324 Michigan Street for an accident.
-9:05 to 10:09 a.m.: Medics responded to five calls.
SUNDAY
-4:30 to 9:41 p.m.: Medics responded to seven calls.
-7:47 p.m.: alarm. Firefighters were called to 2400 Industrial Drive. It was a false alarm cause by a water-pressure problem.
