THURSDAY

-12:56 a.m.: drug abuse. Police arrested Joshua Holtzclaw, 26, 2400 Wapakoneta Ave., Lot 13, in the 100 block of South Wilkinson Avenue on a probation violation warrant from Auglaize County and on a charge of drug abuse. He allegedly had a baggy of marijuana.

-12:15 a.m.: property found. A bicycle found at 319 E. Court St. was given to police.

WEDNESDAY

-8:28 p.m.: theft. Crystal Hughes, 1141 Morris Ave., reported a mountain bike, valued at $120, was stolen from the area of Riverbend Boulevard and Riverside Drive.

-7:56 p.m.: cruelty to animals. Police arrested James T. Evans, 26, 432 Jefferson St., on a warrant from Sidney Municipal Court charging him with cruelty to animals.

-4:04 p.m.: property found. A credit card was found at 805 Arrowhead Drive and given to police. The card is the property of Nikki Marie Montgomery.

-3:59 p.m.: criminal mischief. Michelle Jackson, 619 St. Marys Ave., reported juveniles threw eggs on her house.

-3:31 p.m.: theft and criminal trespass. Jan Geuy reported someone trespassed into her office at the Alpha Community Center, 330 E. Court St., and stole a wallet and cell phone, valued at $300. Police arrested Greg Johnson Jr., 26, at large, on a charge of criminal trespass.

-3:05 p.m.: theft. Robert Jacoby, of Piqua, reported a cell phone, valued at $800, was stolen from a vehicle in the Wilson Memorial Hospital lot.

-11:45 a.m.: burglary and criminal damaging. Cheri Epperson, 1125 Hilltop Ave., Apt. B, reported a TV, laptop computer, jewelry, cell phone, alarm clock, rosary and two game systems, valued at $5,200, and $200 in cash were stolen from her residence. A mirror and door frame were damaged, causing a $70 loss.

Accidents

Rachel Oberly, 32, 10997 Little Turtle Way, was cited with failure to control after an accident Wednesday at 3:54 p.m.

Oberly was westbound in the 600 block of Fair Road and struck a parked car, pushing it into a parked pickup truck. The owner of the parked car was David Shaw, 617 Fair Road. The owner of the parked truck was Paul Young, 628 Fair Road. Oberly had possible injuries. The Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services responded, but did not transport Oberly.

• A motorcycle rider crashed to avoid a collision with a car Tuesday at 5:23 p.m.

Rickie L. Davis, 51, 387 W. Russell Road, riding a motorcycle, was pulling from the BK Root Beer lot onto Riverside Drive to go westbound. At the same time, Gold Barnes, 19, 106 N. Wilkinson Ave., driving a car, was pulling from Tawawa Drive to go westbound on Riverside. Davis avoided a collision by putting his motorcycle on its side. Davis had incapacitating injuries. The Department of Fire & Emergency Services took him to Wilson Memorial Hospital. No citations were issued.

• Andrew L. Adkins, 35, of Wapakoneta, was cited with failure to maintain an assured clear distance after an accident Monday at 9:43 a.m.

Adkins was southbound on Wapakoneta Avenue and struck the rear of a car that had stopped for a traffic light at Russell Road. The driver of the other car was Kyle Goubeaux, 35, 1735 Burkewood Drive.
